Location:Bocombe Down

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

Hours:  Full time 

The Part 145 Planner position is a multifaceted role that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of aviation maintenance processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

reporting to the Engineering Manager,

tracking and monitoring aircraft utilisation and maintenance schedules,

updating various operational spreadsheets

Customer liaison and operations for maintenance scheduling

Raising estimates and work orders.

Additionally, the role involves ordering necessary components, liaising with customers and operations for maintenance scheduling, providing updates during maintenance periods, and raising estimates and work orders. The Planner will also be tasked with the critical responsibility of maintaining communication with all relevant departments to ensure the seamless operation of the business. 

Job Description:

• Reporting to Engineering Manager
• Tracking aircraft utilisation in advance of upcoming maintenance
• Monitoring upcoming maintenance / component replacement
• Updating capacity/fleet plan & short forecast spreadsheet
• Checking NDT requirements
• Ordering upcoming components via stores
• Monitoring ground runs
• Weekly CAM update of aircraft
• Customer/ops liaison when booking aircraft in for maintenance (manpower planning)
• Updating customers during aircraft’s maintenance input
• Raising scheduled estimates
• Updating all aircraft (internal & external)
• Raising rectification estimates for labour/parts
• Raising work orders for aircraft
• Raising CRS
• Checking / typing / closing work orders
• General day to day engineering and customer enquires
• Work with other Castle Air departments to ensure smooth operation of the business including Part M and Ops.

Skills and Qualifications:

– Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
– Desirable: Experience with Aerotrac software for aviation management.
