Hours: 12 hour Day shift working 4 on 4 off.

The role of the Goods In 145 Inspector sits firmly within our core function, providing world class spares support to our airline customer. Assisting in the day to day activities of the Goods in 145 department and supporting their team to the best of their abilities, a Part 145 Inspector specialises in the efficient running of the Part 145 Warehouse and promotes an environment of continuous improvement.

The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for assisting and supporting in the day to day activities of the Part 145 Inspection department enabling you to learn several key inspection processes. This will require good time management skills, a methodical and organised approach with an ability to respond to changing priorities. This role would suit an individual, with good attention to detail and who can work flexibly both individually and as part of a team to deliver a world class service.

Job Purpose:

Working a 4 on 4 off 12hr Day shift pattern, ensuring full control and administration of all part 145 activity and correctly transacting all inventory movements on the computerised inventory system. ensuring acceptance of aeronautical parts are strictly controlled, from primary acceptance to administration of hours and cycle recording, modification and airworthiness directive compliance and supplier management performance. The job holder must maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment within the Civil Aviation Authority and Quality mandatory regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reading and understanding trace documents, attention to detail is paramount to check documentation received or generated for the purpose of the task at hand.

  • Attention to detail in visual inspection and handling of incoming and outgoing serviceable parts.

  • Ensure transactions are carried out within inhouse systems and customer systems accurately.

  • Control of all goods received, handled and despatched throughout Stores and Despatch and Transport system, with special emphasis to compliance accurate labelling and storage locations.

  • Effective communication with the customer and internal department, monitor emails and action requests/queries

  • Ensure all materials are packed appropriately and are either issued/transferred or stored in line with the OEM, CAA and EASA/IAA regulation ensuring the computer system is accurately updated to reflect parts location.

  • Making use of all Dangerous Goods awareness training. Practice and utilise control measures and facilities provided. Ensure equipment is returned and stored properly.

  • Follow compliance with all ISO, company and legal requirements with special attention to aviation and premises security, health and safety and dangerous goods handling.

  • Attending all safety and functional training that is offered.

  • Comply fully with Security awareness and ESD Training.

  • Maintain the required standards of housekeeping and cleanliness including safety precautions complying with Health & Safety regulations. Maintain your personal work area in a clean and orderly manner. Wearing, maintaining and properly storing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure that all service failures, damage, discrepancies and incidents are acted upon effectively and reported to the Airline customer and Reports to be escalated to your supervisor.

  • Any other delegated tasks as deemed reasonable as assigned by the reporting superior.

  • Experienced in Part 145 stores environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.

  • Fully competent and experienced with Part 145 preferred.

  • Previous experience knowledge of using MS word & Excel.

  • Required to complete all mandatory training courses.

  • At least 2 years’ experience of working within an Aviation warehouse supply chain.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the departmental and company procedure manual. -Ensure that I understand the Rules and Regulations of all statutory bodies.

Experience:

  • Aviation warehouse supply chain.: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • UK Drivers License (preferred)
