Role: Planning Engineer/Project Manager (Aircraft Interiors)

Location:  Biggin Hill

Hours: 8 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)

Salary: DOE

Experience:

  • Project Management: 2 years (preferred)
  • aircraft interior Manufacturing & Refurbishment: 3 years (required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding Engineering Drawings
  • BOM creation
  • Stock control and advance purchasing requirements
  • Using CMM and equivalent aircraft data
  • Creation of project plans
  • Liaison and expediting sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Computer literate with experience of MRP systems (Factory Master – Preferred)
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Support to the Engineering Manager.
  • Co-ordination with Production, Purchasing, Design, Stores and Quality.
  • Compliance with company procedures.
  • Project financial and man-hour budget control and reporting.
  • Customer liaison
  • Creating, approving and tracking of CCO (Contract Change Orders)

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • A good academic standard of education & previous experience gained in similar or related environment.
  • Must have GCSE or equivalent in English, Math and one related Science.
  • Ideally will have further education to A Level or equivalent.
  • Formal Project Management training an advantage.

Experience:

  • Experience in aircraft component repair & component manufacturing workshops
  • Experience in management and quality control / quality assurance activities of aircraft maintenance and repair organisations 
  • Working knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation legislation, EASA, FAA, CAA, part 145, EASA 21 Sub Part G & J
  • Ability to prioritise and handle pressure
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office packages, sharepoint experience advantageous.
  • Ideally from an interior component manufacturing background.
  • Understanding of manufacturing details and routings
  • General Aviation Engineering knowledge
  • Project management at a practical level

  • Flexitime
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
