Role: Planning Engineer
Location: Luton
Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
Salary: DOE

Accountabilities:
• Manage conflicting priorities and tasks on a day-to-day basis • Build good relationships with internal and external customers
• To generate and issue comprehensive maintenance packages of work for production staff in accordance with the relevant regulatory airworthiness requirements and departmental procedures
• To create and maintain master work cards/databases where required for specific projects, identify sub-contract requirements, spares and tooling • Liaise with internal departments and external customers, as deemed necessary to provide clear and concise work instructions
• To assist the shift supervisor with the daily operation of the planning department and supporting the day to day production operation including material pre load.
• Have commercial awareness of the impact that decisions can have to the customer and to the business as a whole
• Flexibility and adaptability towards rapidly changing situations
• Ability to work under pressure to react to operational requirements and time constraints
• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work
• To collate all technical records, Work packs and airworthiness paperwork associated with all maintenance of aircraft
• To assert that all applicable completed aircraft maintenance documentation is accurate and completed correctly
• On receipt of completed work packs, review for any omissions and progressively update Storm internal system to reflect work card status
• To update customer maintenance tracking to ensure that all work carried out including component replacements is accurately recorded
• To perform daily meetings and produce production reports to communicate aircraft maintenance status • Daily upkeep of departmental databases
• To generate and issue the operators maintenance packages of work for production staff
• Schedule maintenance work ahead for predetermined customers
• Complete an allocation board to capture all the aircraft planned for the next shift - Do control
Experience
• 2 years working in aircraft maintenance, production planning or airline environment; or
• Experience in MRO IT software, such as AMOS, OASES, Rusada etc would be an advantage but not essential
Training & Knowledge:
• Technical experience in aviation and able to demonstrate knowledge of airworthiness regulation; and
• Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Planning; and
• High standard of English language (written and oral)
• High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
